Jenson Button, arguably the coolest man in world sport, looks set to announce his retirement from Formula 1 this weekend after the Japanese Grand Prix, according to The Guardian.
If the rumours are indeed true, 35 year old Button will go down as one of the journeymen of the F1 circuit, recording 15 wins from his 278 starts, and a world championship with Brawn F1 in 2009 in their one and only season in the paddock (until they became Mercedes F1).
What we’ll miss most about Jenson is the effortless charm, humour, and style he brings with him, a welcome change from the part-time rapper part-time driver Lewis Hamilton. It’s just a shame he’s had to end his career at a faltering Mclaren outfit.
