Timothy Corrigan, who has been named one of the world’s top 100 interior designers by Architectural Digest, purchased the run down Château du Grand-Lucé for €2.2m in 2005 and quickly set about overhauling the property with a six year no-expenses-spared renovation. Now, having used the property far less than he expected to, Corrigan has put it on the market for €10m (empty), or €13m with everything in it.

Located in the Loire Valley a short 45 minute train trip (or 20 minutes in a chopper) from Paris, Château du Grand-Lucé is set on 30 hectares and comprises 15 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, a lift, a couple of wine cellars, and a whole heap of entertaining areas.

Alongside the main house is a U-shaped support compound that houses the chateau’s five staff, a theatre, gym, games room, two greenhouses, and a six garages, for a total floor space nearing 40,000 square feet.

It’s one of the nicest properties you’re likely to see all year and one any multimillionaire would be happy to call their summer home. Check out before and after shots of the stunning restoration over at Architectural Digest.
