Mick Fanning And Mason Ho Find Cold Waves In ‘Comfortably Numb’

Alaska. The final frontier. In the latest episode of Rip Curl’s Search series aptly titled Comfortably Numb, Aussie Mick Fanning and American Mason Ho head to the frozen north of the North American Continent in search of waves created by calving glaciers. Opening up on time away from competitive obligations and the roller coaster year that was 2015, Mick’s pairing with Mason is northing short of genius casting. While the two surfer’s styles aren’t necessarily synonymous, Mick a little more serious and Mason anything but, the pair have an unexpected chemistry that builds as they venture north to the land of ice and snow.

America’s 49th state isn’t the first place that comes to mind when you think of surfing, but the search isn’t just about waves – it is, as the name implies, about the journey.
