Perhaps you’re not quite at the private yacht stage, or maybe you enjoy cruises for the socialising. Whichever side of the fence you may be on, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company have just announced their own unique cruise line offering to launch in late 2019.
Slated for trips around the Mediterranean, Caribbean & North Eastern United States, these boutique cruise liners will blend the scope of a private yacht charter and a full scale cruise ship.
The mammoth machines will be fitted entirely with suites, rather than the standard staterooms, and an impressive 149 of them to be exact. Those looking to write off thousands can splurge one further with one of the two 138 square-metre duplex penthouse suites.
“This unique combination of yachting and cruising will usher in a new way of luxury travel for guests seeking to discover the world,” said Herve Humler, President and Chief Operating Officer of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
Three ships have been confirmed for construction, with their early renders created by Swedish firm Tillberg Design. Despite the first ship not scheduled for launch until late 2019, reservations will open in May of next year.
