‘Despacito’ Becomes The First YouTube Video To Reach 3 Billion Views

If you haven’t had the pleasure of hearing/seeing Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s Despacito, you’d be pleased to know that it’s now the first video to reach 3 billion views on YouTube. The astonishing feat was completed quickly after the song had beaten out Wiz Khalifa’s See You Again, which was the previous record holder for most viewed.

Surprisingly enough, the version that featured Justin Bieber wasn’t the one that took the record out (although it has gained 500 million views by itself). Luis has impressively pulled it off with his original music video that came out in January of this year, meaning that he has additionally rose to the top in less than 8 months.
