Sydney has never been known for the snow, but an event hitting our shores next year could put us on the map for it. Having already demonstrated immense success in Innsbruck, Beijing, and LA, the AIR + STYLE festival is heading to The Domain in August.

What does it entail? The AIR + STYLE festival promises to bring together the sixty best skiers and snowboarders from all over the world, along with a towering 16-storey snowboard ramp that will see the CBD becoming a little frostier. Over the course of three days, the skiers and snowboarders will compete for the top prize, and we’re all very interested to see how the gargantuan ramp will be involved.

This event has been curated, organised, and presented by none other than Olympic gold medallist and X-games veteran, Shaun White.

“I am so excited that AIR + STYLE is coming to Sydney – I love this city,” says White. “We are going to bring the mountain to the city and take over [T]he Domain with snow, music, culture and tech. I am so proud of how this has come together – the best snowboarders and skiers in the world, a diverse music lineup and a festival of culture right in the middle of one of the world’s iconic cities. I guarantee a good time will be had by all!”

The music component to this has not yet been announced, but with previous AIR + STYLE events having brought such performances from as Kendrick Lamar, Major Lazer, Flume, TV On The Radio, Portugal the Man, and J. Cole, the lineup is bound to be huge, and almost guaranteed to match the adrenaline pumping excitement of the skiing and snowboarding.

The event will take place from August 3rd to August 5th, with tickets now available for purchase hereDon’t miss out!
