We've done our waiting, endured the ominous reports of creative differences, directors walking off, and what have you - but now, us loyal fans will get to metaphorically feast with the release of the first action-packed trailer for No Time To Die.
Complete with steely-eyed and contemplative stares of one tuxedo-wearing Daniel Craig, adrenaline-infused motorcycle stunts, and what promises to be a menacing villain from the Academy Award-winning Rami Malek.
The official synopsis reads:
In 'No Time To Die', Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.
This instalment will mark Daniel Craig's final appearance, after what can only be described as a memorable and genre-defining tenure portraying 007. And by the looks of things, based on the merit of the trailer alone, it would appear that No Time To Die will be quite the send-off.
Joining the powerhouse cast of Craig, Malek, and Ralph Fiennes will be Jeffery Wright, Ana De Armas, and Lashana Lynch. Naomie Harris will be making a return as Moneypenny, as will Ben Wishaw to reprise the role of Q, Lea Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann, and, as the trailer confirms, Christoph Waltz as Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
No Time To Die is directed by Cary Fukunaga (True Detective, Beast of No Nation), and scheduled for cinematic release on April 8th, 2020.
