One of the most anticipated blockbusters of year with an already well-established fan base, Suicide Squad is the 2016 film on everyone’s lips. Imprisoned supervillians (Margot Robbie, Will Smith, and Jared Leto to name a few) are given the task of executing high powered black ops missions in return for clemency and the results are said to be both hilarious and action-packed.
Perhaps what sets this feature apart from other high-intensity, stunt-packed thrillers is director David Ayer’s emphasis on stunt work performed by the actors themselves.
“I want to shoot the actor from the front not the double from the back” says Guy Norris, 2nd Unit Director/Stunt Coordinator. It’s easy to understand why.
There is no doubting that extensive training and hard work has helped make the sequences in Suicide Squad believable and the results look outstanding.
