First Look: Sneaky Pete

— Updated on 2 August 2021

Bryan Cranston, everybody’s favourite high school ‘science teacher cum meth kingpin’ is back, this time producing Sneaky Pete for the Amazon streaming service.

Starring Giovanni Ribisi (Avatar, Gangster Squad) and Margo Martindale (The Americans) and also featuring Cranston, Sneaky Pete revolves around a conman (Ribisi) who, after leaving prison, takes cover from his nefarious past by assuming the identity of his cellmate, Pete. Moving in with Pete’s unsuspecting family, he is roped into the family’s bail bond business and in order to keep the charade up, he plays the part of a skiptracer or debtor, tracking down criminals often worse than himself — in the process discovering a family life he’s never had.

The premise was developed by David Shore (House) and Cranston after Cranston’s Emmy-winning speech, encouraging the Sneaky Petes of the world to turn their life around. Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) is also on board as a producer, with Sneaky Pete available free on Amazon for 30 days beginning this Friday, August 7th.
