First Look: American Crime Story – The People Vs O.J Simpson

FX have delivered what looks to be the best new series of 2016, taking a look inside the trial of former NFL running back O.J. Simpson. The 1969 number one draft pick was tried for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her alleged lover, Ron Goldman at a time when the civil rights movement in the United States was at boiling point. After allegedly murdering his ex-wife, Simpson led police on a low-speed pursuit in a white Ford Bronco SUV that was so heavily publicised, it interrupted coverage of the 1994 NBA Finals.

The clincher was that despite a myriad of evidence (and an estimated 100 million people stopping to tune into the televised verdict), Simpson was acquitted, arguably due to misconduct by his legal team, which included Johnnie Cochran and Kardashian patriarch, Robert.

With an all-star cast including Cuba Gooding Jr., John Travolta, David Schwimmer and Selma Blair as Kris Kardashian, this is one we couldn’t be more excited about.
