You’d think that something as well-practised as our evening rest would occur night after night without a hitch. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case, which is why Netflix – otherwise known as the last platform the majority of us interact with before we doze off – has teamed up with Vox Media Studios and the mediation specialists over at Headspace for an actual guide on how to sleep.

Over the course of seven bite-sized 15-minute episodes, Headspace Guide To Sleep will address the myths and misconceptions surrounding our essential rest, while also providing a blueprint for how we can achieve a better version of it. As per the official synopsis:

Learn all about sleep, your relationship with it, and how to build healthy habits for a more restful night in ‘Headspace Guide To Sleep’. Headspace Director of Meditation & Mindfulness teacher, Eve Lewis Prieto, reveals the science behind a healthy night’s sleep and provides tips on how to get the best sleep you’ve ever had.

Each episode explores a different aspect of our relationship with sleep – such as insomnia, stress, our phones, and even sleeping pills – followed by a guided wind down designed to help you on your journey to a better sleep.

Headspace Guide To Sleep marks the second series Headspace has produced in collaboration with Netflix; the first being Headspace Guide To Mediation, which premiered earlier this year. According to Collider, a third series is definitely on the cards, formatted in a similar fashion, as well as offering a more “interactive experience.”

Headspace Guide To Sleep will be available to stream on Netflix from April 28th – watch the trailer above.
