Tech and house fans have had a lot of news to process over the past few weeks. Festival managers have been busier than a one-legged man at bum-kicking contest, working hard to secure some of the heaviest hitting international acts, leaving the music community with some seriously heightened emotions.
Back in October, Pitch Music Festival essentially rewrote history, dropping a god-like lineup of international acts. Resident Advisor’s #1 DJ Dixon will be making his way down under, being joined by the likes of Ame, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Adana Twins, DJ tennis, Berghain Resident Ben Block, Fatima Yamaha and a heap more. The Melbourne-based festival will be taking place from 10-13 March.
While Melbournians were left feeling awfully smug after Pitch announced their lineup, the rest of Australia was left in a state of jealousy whilst anxiously searching for cheap flights. But just this week, the stars aligned and Days Like This Festival delivered a phenomenal lineup for their Sydney-based Festival. As well as the big dogs mentioned in the Pitch Festival, Mind Against, John Talabot, Julio Bashmore, Gerd Janson, Gold Panda, Soul Clap and many more will be lighting up Sydney come March 11, 2017. It appears Pitch and Days Like This have organised very similar lineups, taking the reins in Melbourne and Sydney, respectively.
Oh yes Oh yes Australia! Just recently, the global powerhouse, Carl Cox, announced he will be bringing Pure to Australia and New Zealand in April 2017. Set to support Cox and throw down at the Pure events are Adam Beyer, Noir and Eric Powell. The lineup will tour to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and New Zealand.
Be prepared to get knee deep in Sydney on February 12th as Hot Since 82 rolls in to Randwick Racecourse with Butch, Christoph, Emanuel Satie and more.
