With Blade Runner set to turn 35 this weekend, a new featurette has emerged to get audiences in the mood for the upcoming 2049 sequel. Entitled "Time To Live", the short follows Ryan Gosling's character as he traverses through an abandoned casino. It neatly encapsulates the neo-noir aesthetic and provides some interesting behind the scenes footage.

The piece also features some interesting commentary from the makers of the film. Harrison Ford, who reprises his role as Rick Deckard, expresses appreciation for his character from 30 years ago. “The story, the themes, the stunning visual environments — it was a pleasure to get back in the world of Blade Runner again.”

The featurette is a must see for those who are familiar with the original cult film, a perfect way to get ready for the 2049 experience. The sequel is slated for a October 5th release date.
