If you’re looking for an inherently sporty watch, constructed from an interesting material, with plenty of character, a manufacture movement, from a notable brand, sub $5,000 (the list goes on) the BVLGARI Aluminium is as compelling as it gets.

It is however, polarising. Much like Steve Aoki.

Steve Aoki

So, let’s just say a Bvlgari Aluminium Steve Aoki limited edition watch now exists, and even if you’re not a fan of Aoki himself, let’s hope it sheds some light on a previously underappreciated watch, offered at a very achievable price point.

The collaboration watch brings together “the essence of the values driving both partners” and bears a dial fitted with the artist’s signature logo. Given the brand’s history with bold, eccentric designs (like the Octo Finissimo) and colourways that break the conventional mould, the partnership with Aoki is understandable, and possibly on point if the brand seeks awareness amongst a younger audience.

As with the existing Aluminium three-hander – over which the Bvlgari Aluminium Steve Aoki limited edition commands a $150 premium – the collaboration arrives in a 40mm aluminium case with rubber bezel and Steve Aoki logo emblazoned SuperLuminova dial, under which resides the brand’s B77 Calibre movement with 42-hour power reserve. A DLC titanium case back is also adorned with an engraved Steve Aoki logo.

The Bvlgari Aluminium Steve Aoki limited edition is now available to purchase online, with no confirmation of numbers as yet. If Steve isn’t tickling your fancy, get around the non limited edition – a steal at $4,380.
