LEGO Unleash A Monstrous 11,695-Piece World Map Set

In the past year, we’ve traded world travel for indoor sessions, toiling away at puzzle-like challenges. From Lamborghini Sian replicas to NASA-inspired kits, LEGO have done their fair share to keep us occupied… all of which pale in comparison to the behemoth now entering the area: this 11,695-piece LEGO World Map (the largest set to date).

“We know that our adult fans love to travel, but many haven’t been able to do so for over a year now,” says Fiorella Groves, LEGO Art Creative Lead.

“We thought that there was no better way of helping explore the world while relaxing in the comfort of their home than by allowing them to build, rebuild, plan and reminisce through building.”

“We hope the LEGO Art World Map will inspire new adventures in some, and help others relive and celebrate wonderful travel memories from the past.”

With the opportunity to build the LEGO World Map in three different configurations – in terms of ocean, landmass focus, and colour interpretations (not to mention brick pins to highlight meaningful locations) – the package also comes with a white brock-built frame + two hanging elements to display once completed, as well as an accompanying soundtrack / audio tour featuring stories from travel experts such as Torbjørn C. Pedersen (the first person to travel the entire world in a continuous journey without flying) and Travel Muse Family‘s Syazwani Baumgartner.

“This kit immerses you in your passion for travel and DIY creativity while you relax and recharge,” reads the website description.

“Unboxing the set offers you a unique “wow” experience, while the coffee-table-quality instructions provide an informative and stress-relieving road map as they guide you through the build.”

Hitting shelves on June 1st, the LEGO World Map set will retail for $399.99.
