If you've ever wanted to be part of a Star Wars movie, this parka is for you.

Flashback to the winter of 1979: the Star Wars cast and crew braved a harsh Norwegian winter to film the iconic "Battle of Hoth" for The Empire Strikes Back film. With temperatures plunging far below zero, cast and crew members were all equipped with bespoke, highly insulated winter gear. Specifically, a royal blue, highly insulated parka.

Now, starting December 7th, you can wear this parka too. Columbia Sportswear has teamed up with the Star Wars franchise to recreate the iconic parka worn by the cast and crew nearly 40 years ago and it'll be available online starting at 12:01 a.m. EST on the 7th of December.

The parka is a technical high-performance unisex jacket featuring a waterproof, breathable and critically seam-sealed outer layer to protect against the elements with an Omni-Heat™ thermal-reflective lining and insulation designed for warmth. It also includes a removable hood with removable faux-fur trim, a two-way collar, ribbed comfort cuffs, wrist zips and multifunctional pockets.

The Star Wars: Empire Crew parka costs $500 USD ($680 AUD) and will be available to purchase on Columbia’s site. This is your chance to sport some serious vintage Star Wars while staying warm.
