Following in the footsteps of a raft of other Australian consumer giants, Telstra yesterday launched their long awaited loyalty & rewards program, Telstra Plus, in the process becoming the first Australian telco to do so.
In a similar vein to most loyalty programs, Telstra Plus offers rewards to those who regularly spend with Telstra in a tiered 'Member', 'Silver', and 'Gold' structure based on spend. Points are earned at a rate of 10 per $1 spent on your account, and you can earn bonus points for adding extras to your account.
The redemption program launches in July, with points able to be used on a raft of goodies including phones, tech, and 'limited time offers'.
Telstra's Group Consumer Executive Michael Ackland says that more than 400,000 subscribers signed up to the program before launch. Do so by June 30 and you'll get 10,000 bonus points if you've been with Telstra for more than 5 years, and 1,000 bonus points if you've been with them for less than 5 years.
