Rolex has just launched a new campaign celebrating storytelling and cinema. And what better way to do so than enlisting four legendary directors in the top of their game.
This ad places Martin Scorsese (Raging Bull, Goodfellas), Kathryn Bigelow (Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty), Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Birdman, The Revenant), and James Cameron (Titanic, Avatar) front and centre. A rare foray away from being behind the camera.
Additionally, each director starred in their own thirty second clip elaborating on their connection with their craft, building a further narrative around the ethos and pathos of the high-end watchmakers. Really driving the message home that Rolex’s don’t just tell time, it tells a history.
