Whisky Magazine has just released their top picks for the world’s best whiskies for 2019. So we’ll start this article off by saying this is not an opinion piece, but a researched list sourced by the most capable palates in the whisky industry. This is the first time an Irish distillery has won world’s best single malt, with Teeling’s 24 year old vintage reserve taking home the coveted award.
Tasmanian distillery Sullivan’s Cove was the only Australian winner on the evening with their French Oak Whisky earning the prize for the best single cask single malt.
