Burger Project Is Slinging $5 Burgers For National Cheeseburger Day

One of the greatest days of the year (depending on who you ask) is almost upon us. Next Wednesday, September 18th, is National Cheeseburger Day.

The annual celebration has been marked for over a century, and this year Aussie favourites the Burger Project is getting in on the act.

The high-end burger chain will be slinging $5 cheeseburgers at all of its venues across the country next week. Normally going for $12.50, this isn’t your regular burger with a piece of meat slapped between two buns. Burger Project’s tantalising meat feast is based upon Rockpool Bar & Grill’s classic Wagyu burger from celebrity chef Neil Perry.

The American-style burger contains a Cape Grim grass-fed beef patty piled with cheese, pickles, onions, mustard and secret house-made sauce between two soft milk buns.

If a cheeseburger doesn’t tickle your tastebuds, Burger Project also has a number of other mouth-watering options, including a delicious chicken burger and a mushroom burger for those with a plant-based lifestyle. There’s also a fantastic happy hour from 3 pm to 6 pm where you can grab chicken bites for $4, chips and soft-serve ice creams for $3 each and brewskis for a fiver.

The $5 burger deal runs all day Wednesday, September 18th. Find all participating Burger Project locations at burgerproject.com.
