In a classic case of one man's trash being another man's treasure, two entrepreneurs have taken their passion for classic cars and translated it into their company REC Watches. Reusing parts from wrecked Ford Mustangs, the pair have managed to produce a new timepiece that pays homage to the iconic vehicle.

Named after a World War II fighter plane, the P51 watch has a power dial that's intended to replicate a fuel gauge and a hands, date and dial design which takes influence from a Mustang's dashboard. Each piece also contains the vehicle identification number (VIN), year of production and typical aspects of the Mustang it was made from.
