And now, a little something for you gear heads to aspire towards. The Thermal Club is the name to remember, and it is amongst one of the most exclusive racing clubs around the world. With a membership of 62 which is capped at 500, the private villas have access to views of the tracks; displaying a full 8km sprawl of “… world-class racing circuits and a full motorsports village…”.

Getting to and from The Thermal can be arranged using the club concierge service. Jets may also be chartered for members, for airport pick-up and drop off. The clubs spreads itself over 400 acres of land in Palm Desert, California. It houses an immense entertainment quarter, with event space, bar, restaurant, and dining area.

Members are also given the choice of building their own villas, on or off track ($7 million USD or $4.6 million USD respectively). There are currently 268 plots free, with 232 coming soon. Eight pre-designed floor plans exist, but there is more than enough freedom to design your own. The typical size of said villas range between 280 to 740 square metres, though the largest one to date is roughly 1,400 square metres. Garage spaces can hold from fifteen to twenty vehicles. As an added bonus, concierge service provided includes cleaning, maintenance, and stocking of groceries+household items upon arrival.

The club hosts its own racing series, entitled The Thermal Club Triple Crown. Track days are also hosted by the likes of Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren. And of course, a full-service motorsports village is provided, with on-site fuel islands, fully secured garages, and all. The race shop services all race and primary cars. Members and hang-abouts alike may race in two classes of cars given they have the proper licenses.

Suffice it to say, its quite the luxurious on-going experience.
