Harrison Ford Crashes WWII Era Plane

Hollywood actor Harrison Ford has been left injured after the World War II era small aircraft he was piloting crashed earlier today in Venice, California.

Eyewitnesses have stated that Ford appeared to be stable and breathing when ambulances arrived on the scene. A known flying enthusiast, Ford is best known for his roles as Indiana Jones and Han Solo, with the actor set to reprise his role as the latter character in Star Wars Episode 7 later this year.

Ford had contacted air control just minutes after take off to inform them of an engine failure, and to let them know he intended to return to the airport immediately.

Ford’s publicist released the following statement:

“Harrison was flying a WW2 vintage plane today which stalled upon take off. He had no other choice but to make an emergency landing, which he did safely. He was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life-threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery”
