Joel Sartore provides one of the best and most in depth ways to view the creatures of earth. Since 1995 the renowned photographer has been on a mission to create the largest photo archive of global biodiversity. Entitled the Photo Ark, the collection currently covers 6300 species with an end goal of around 12000. In doing this Joel has visited over 40 countries, taking photos with some of the world’s rarest animals.
Check out some epic shots from the collection above and see them in real life at the National Geographic Photo Ark Exhibition, which runs from July 1st – October 1st at Melbourne Zoo.
