The age-old question of where to store the stogies in your Rolls-Royce may finally have an answer. As part of the Connoisseur’s Collection, the patented luxury of the British automaker can be found outside of the doors of its iconic cars, with the new Rolls-Royce Cellarette whisky and cigar box.
Made from polished aluminium and covered in Havana leather, the Cellarette chassis is equipped with a fold-up serving tray covered in Obsidian Ayous open-pore veneer featuring a “Spirit of Ecstasy” inlay. Beneath the tray, you will find four hand-blown lowball glasses etched with the iconic ‘RR’ logo. On one end, the Cellarette functions as your Spanish Cerwood-lined cigar humidor with both a hygrometer and cigar cutter by S.T. Dupont, Paris; at the other, you find yourself with a case for storing your drink of choice.
This handcrafted addition to your dining room or car will set you back a handsome £44,150 (AU$82,000). For your troubles, the Cellarette is specifically designed to suit any number of possible hosting occasions: it will fit into the rear of any Rolls Royce you will come across and the leather-lined, black anodised aluminium bottle holder is said to accommodate any number of different bottle sizes.
When opening the dark exterior of your Rolls-Royce Cellarette, you will be greeted with its ambient glow, then presented with hand-blown lowball glasses, each finished with their own double-R monogram. The glasses operate on an outwards rotation as the unit opens, adding an additional bit of flair to its already flashy presentation.
Accompanying the humidor are all the perfect accessories you can offer your Cubans. At either end, two smaller containers are held magnetically to the cassette: the cigar cutter and lighter and engraved with the Spirit of Ecstasy Expression, with the ashtray to be found in the other. The cigar cradles of the latter only extend once the container is opened to ensure compact transit.
