If you ever needed a reason to fly over to Cuba before American tourism takes it over, the Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana is it. The 5-star hotel has opened right in the middle of Old Havana, transforming a European-style shopping arcade into a focal point of luxury in Cuba.
The hotel boasts 246 rooms, three bars, three restaurants, a top-floor gym, a rooftop pool, and a 10,000-square-foot spa. Each aspect celebrates the style of Cuba in different ways, with everything from cigars at the Evocación Tobacco Lounge to the Hemingway Daiquiri at Bar Constante. It’s all tied together with high-ceilings and a tasteful white-and-gray palette throughout, totally revamping the 100-year old arcade.
With the soft opening just happening over the weekend, the Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana aims to be fully operational by June 7th.
