O Bar To Host Sydney’s Most Lavish New Year’s Eve Party

For a good few months, it was entirely reasonable to assume that zero New Year’s Eve events were going ahead in Sydney for 2020 (for obvious reasons). Although such concerns are now being shredded by some of the city’s best venues, kicking off a last-minute roll-out of options for your potential end-of-year celebration. And it’s clear some are taking a go-hard-or-go-home approach to absolute decadence; if O Bar & Dining is anything to go by, anyways.

The popular 47th-floor venue located in Australia Square Tower has locked in what will easily be one of the most lavish New Year’s Eve parties coming this year. With uninterrupted harbour views on the cards, they’re effectively offering one of the widest and most expansive lookouts for Sydney’s typical firework frenzy. Throw in the missing ingredient of an ambitious food and drink program, and you’ve got yourself a winning recipe.

The aforementioned program will be split between three package options, starting with a $695PP 8-course tasting menu sandwiched by a glass of NV Louis Roederer Brut Premier and a decadent dessert of chocolate with Mandarin marmalade. In between those two indulgent serves, guests can expect the likes of poached Tasmanian lobster & crab crisp, Roku Gin cured hiramasa kingfish, and flash seared Rangers Valley wagyu 6+. 

To upgrade the menu with a pairing of wines and a premium window table, you’re looking at $875PP, which features the exact same dishes but with much more booze to precede the midnight countdown. 

The top-tier experience at O Bar & Dining’s New Year’s Eve 2020 will take place in the venue’s prime private dining room, accommodating 12 people for $1,450PP. This extra-luxe option includes private butler service, dinner, and a private front-row viewing of the midnight festivities. 

While we expect more New Year’s Eve events to be announced in the coming weeks, it’ll be hard to top the centrally located O Bar & Dining when it comes to welcoming the new calendar in style.
