If you fancy replacing the final weeks of winter, still yet to politely subside, with a trip to warmer climes, you’re in luck. Qantas has once again brought back one of its most popular Frequent Flyer promotions, giving members a limited window to earn double rewards on their travel.
Running for eight days, from today until 11:59 PM on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, the promotion rewards frequent flyers on trips to more than 100 destinations across the Qantas network. Members can choose to earn either Double Status Credits to accelerate their progression through the Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum One tiers, or Double Points for more flexible future redemptions.
Bookings can be made now for unlimited flights across a full year of travel, from September 3, 2026 through to August 14, 2027, with the boost also extending to Qantas Hotels and Holidays bookings.

As with previous runs of the promotion, the mechanics are straightforward. Simply register through the Qantas App and book any Qantas-marketed and operated regional, domestic or international flight to earn double Credits or Points.
Whatever Status Credits or Points a flight would normally earn, based on fare type, route and distance, are simply doubled for the duration of the offer.
So, which one should you choose? Well, both are generally good, but how they’ll affect your account depends on where you sit within the Qantas tiers. If you’re close to your next upgrade, say from Gold to Platinum, Double Status Credits can fast-track your progression through the system and unlock better perks, including lounge access.
For frequent flyers with travel plans already in the pipeline for the next year, it’s a hassle-free way to make upcoming trips count for more.
Members further from a threshold may get more value from Double Points instead, building a larger balance to redeem for reward flights, cabin upgrades or hotel and holiday packages down the track. More importantly, Points don’t expire for active members, so there’s no immediate rush to use them on your next trip.
