With The Mandalorian Season 3 premiering this week, weโre going to see a bunch of Star Wars-themed merchandise pop up over the coming days as Lucasfilm gets busy promoting the Disney+ show. Although whatever the studio has in store is unlikely to top this brilliantly themed The Mandalorian Xbox, which has been worked up by Lucasfilm and Microsoft as a loving ode to the showโs titular character, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu, better known to fans as Baby Yoda.
Unique editions of both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S have been produced to launch this week, each differently designed and themed quite aggressively towards The Mandalorian with different colour schemes and artwork referencing the Star Wars spin-off.
Din Djarin features heavily across the Xbox Series X while Baby Yoda is the muse for the smaller Xbox Series S. And while the consoles themselves look great, itโs the Xbox controller that really takes things to the next level as far as thematic marketing goes. The newly designed Xbox controller is dressed in a shade of green to evoke Baby Yodaโs skin and comes with its own sherpa hoodie to hammer the point.

While photos only show The Mandalorian Xbox and Baby Yoda controller, reports indicate both models ship with a life-sized version of Groguโs pram. Called the โPram XL,โ the accessory is best thought of as a fully functional gaming station complete with massaging cushions, LED lights, cupholders and storage for controllers and headphones.
In perhaps the biggest missed opportunity, Microsoft and Lucasfilm have not made The Mandalorian Xbox available for retail. Only a limited amount of units have been produced, and to get your hands on them youโd have to take to Twitter and engage with Xboxโs official account. You simply need to retweet any recent tweet from @xbox and include the hashtag #TheMandalorianXboxSweepstakes to go into the running.
The competition runs through May 11 and is open internationally. The exclusivity also means you could make a nice little profit in a few years by selling this as a collectorโs item unless of course Microsoft wisens up and start making more units of The Mandalorian Xbox to actually sell around the world.
