  • The 98th edition of the Oscars delivered surprises, upsets, and moments that felt fully deserved under the Los Angeles spotlight.
  • Michael B. Jordan surged as a frontrunner for Best Actor with his leading performance in Sinners.
  • Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for Hamnet.

The 98th edition of the Academy Awards is back and bigger than ever, delivering surprise winners, worthy upsets, and moments that feel deserved in only the way the Oscars can.

The world’s biggest stars, directors, and the rest of the industry’s finest are converging on the gilded red carpet to see how they all fare in the eyes of their peers after months of campaigning.

This year, of course, voters are finally required to watch every nominee before casting a ballot. Nothing tonight was left to chance. Late surges and last-minute momentum shifts have kept fans guessing for weeks, especially between the night’s two most talked-about contenders, Sinners and One Battle After Another, which have, between them, taken home the biggest nods from the BAFTAs, Golden Globes, and SAG Awards.

Tonight, in Los Angeles, under the glare of the world’s most unforgiving spotlight, the voting class are set to prove that once again anything can happen during the biggest night on the Hollywood calendar. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the full list of Oscars winners for 2026.
