- The Oasis Live '25 tour was one of 2025's biggest cultural moments, and now, Disney+ has confirmed the release date of its upcoming documentary.
- Created by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, SAS Rogue Heroes, Eastern Promises), the film will follow Liam and Noel Gallagher's legendary global reunion tour.
- First arriving as a limited theatrical run in IMAX and cinemas worldwide on September 11, it'll then become available exclusively on Disney+ later in the year.
Last year, the "unthinkable" happened when Oasis finally committed to reuniting for a tour 15 years after falling out and splitting up in spectacular fashion. And we knew it was only a matter of time before cameras began rolling for a film about Liam and Noel Gallagher's thought-to-be-impossible reconciliation.
Now, Disney, Magna Studios, and Sony Music Vision have officially announced an as-yet-untitled documentary chronicling Oasis' landmark Live '25 reunion tour, set to be directed by Meet Me in the Bathroom collaborators Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace. The documentary is being created by BAFTA and Oscar-nominated talent and Peaky Blinders mastermind Steven Knight.
The inclusion of Magna Studios promises an additional measure of music documentary credibility, given they're the same outfit behind Lewis Capaldi's How I'm Feeling Now and Beastie Boys Story.

Knight's involvement might strike the Tommy Shelby diehards out there as odd, but it makes perfect sense (aside from his proven track record of writing about mercurial brothers) when you consider the man's own well-documented passion for the UK's working-class music scene.
The film charts Liam and Noel Gallagher's triumphant reunion tour, and includes unprecedented access to rehearsals, backstage moments, and onstage footage, as well as the first joint interviews the brothers have given together in over 25 years. That last detail alone should be enough to sell tickets.
“I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film," Knight said in a statement. "I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people."
"I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as important, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever. It is also the story of how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, countries and in a time of spite and division, give us all some reason to hope.”
The film will arrive as a limited theatrical run in IMAX and cinemas worldwide on September 11, before the film lands exclusively on Disney+ internationally later this year.
