The awesome film that was Pacific Rim is finally getting a sequel and the trailers for it just keep getting better. Pacific Rim Uprising ups the ante and features John Boyega right at the forefront. Guillermo del Toro returns to direct alongside actors Charlie Day, Burn Gorman, and Rinko Kikuchi.
In the first movie, humanity faced an invasion of giant monsters called Kaiju, which were beaten back by heroes piloting giant mechs called Jaegers. Boyega takes up the role of Idris Elbaโs characterโs son from the previous film, whoโs called back to the fight against the returning Kaiju with a group of inexperienced mech pilots.
It definitely looks like itโll match the fun of the first film, so gear up for itโs release on the 22nd of March by watching the trailer above. Check out more film awesomeness here while youโre at it.
