Breitling has announced yet another effortlessly cool collaboration, this time born right here in Australia. The Breitling Top Time Deus limited edition chronograph is a nod to the timekeeper’s vintage 1960s spirit with a modern twist from Aussie custom motorcycle outfitters, Deus Ex Machina.

Launched on a slick, racing-themed brown calfskin leather strap, the Top Time Deus houses a Breitling Caliber 23 movement with a 48-hour power reserve inside a perfectly sized 41mm stainless-steel casing. Its silver dial displays yellow and orange details, ‘squircle’-shaped chrono counters, as well as the Deus logo and adage “In benzin veritas” on the black tachymetre scale.

On the caseback you’ll also find the iconic Deus artwork of a retro-looking motorcyclist in full flight, designed by Deus creative director Carby Tuckwell. The most uniquely interesting feature, however, might just be the chronograph hand in the shape of a lightning bolt.

Alongside the release, Breitling announced it is now also the official timekeeper of the Deus Swank Rally – the epic motorcycle championship celebrating vintage bikes in cities around the world, including Italy, France, Australia, and Bali.

The Breitling Deus Top Time limited edition will be an online exclusive before hitting the watchmaker’s global retail network. PSA – there are only 1,500 pieces available worldwide.

The Breitling Deus Top Time Limited Edition (REF A233101A1A1X1) retails for AU$6,950.
