Another glorious spring day, another glorious OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M. The Swiss watchmaking powerhouse’s latest drop – steel on steel – is this gorgeous 44mm Master Chronometer made from grade 2 titanium, 18K Sednaâ„¢ gold and tantalum.

If you’re unfamiliar with the subtle blue/grey tones of the precious metal tantalum, all you need to know is that it’s rarer than gold, harder than steel and highly corrosion resistant. Dark, dense, pliable, and highly conductive of heat and electricity, it is particularly difficult to work with, adding to its rare use within the watch industry.

OMEGA Seamaster Tantalum

The larger-than-normal 44mm casing for this 300M Diver is home to OMEGA’s CoAxial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900 movement and is enclosed by a rose gold bezel ring featuring a laser-ablated diving scale. The polished blue ceramic [ZrO2] dial sports iconic Seamster laser-engraved waves and the subdial rings feature tasteful and minimal gold touches also.

OMEGA Seamaster Tantalum

Tantalum made its debut on the OMEGA Seamaster in 1993 and returns to fine form in 2020, with the OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph Gold Titanium Tantalum. Available in-store from November.
