Despite being one of the youngest luxury watchmakers in the world today, Richard Mille has established itself as one of the most coveted brands in the watch game. Worn by the rich and famous and known for its elite sporting ambassadors, the watchmaker now has its bible – Richard Mille: The Impossible Collection.

The lavish coffee table book has been painstakingly curated by luxury watch and jewellery expert Fabienne Reybaud, who has written other comprehensive works including Watches: The Ultimate Guide, Rolex: The Impossible Collection, and A Dictionary of Wonders: Van Cleef & Arpels. Published by Assouline, this limited-edition tome chronicles Richard Mille’s groundbreaking journey since its inception in 2001.

The book showcases a selection of the brand’s rarest and most iconic timepieces, from the original RM 001 prototype to the modern RM 16-02 with its intricate skeletonised movement, as well as exploring the countless ambassador collaborations Richard Mille has done with the likes of Yohan Blake, Charles Leclerc, and Rafael Nadal. It’s a love letter to the brand, often dubbed the “bad boy” of contemporary horology.

Clocking in at a hefty 224 pages, this hand-bound book needs a well-made coffee table, weighing in at a hefty 9.072kgs. Enclosed in a custom clamshell case with a metal plaque, it’s a book that understands its likely audience and has spared no expense as far as craftsmanship or luxury detailing.
