Last night in Sydney, Moët & Chandon reminded everyone exactly why it’s still the go-to for any proper celebration.
To celebrate the close of another year, Moët & Chandon brought Parisian grandeur to Sydney, hosting an intimate dinner inside one of Australia’s most jaw-dropping private homes. The night captured everything the season’s meant to be – connection, indulgence, and that easy sense of celebration that comes with champagne in hand. Boss Hunting were on the ground to see the event unfold.
Hosted by Moët Hennessy’s Scott Bowie, the evening drew a polished crowd – Shanina Shaik, Lara Worthington, and Elliot Garnaut were among a discerning mix of Sydney VIPs, talent, and media. The space was soaked in deep red tones to match the season, with a champagne tower poured by Shaik setting the tone early.

In the kitchen, Joel Bickford – the multi-hatted chef known for letting great ingredients do the talking– served a menu built around Moët & Chandon’s signature cuvées. Each pour found its place: crisp Brut Impérial to pair with caviar and spanner crab, Impérial Rosé with a glazed Berkshire Pork Jowl course, and the Grand Vintage 2016 complementing a barbequed Southern Rock Lobster.

As the sun dipped and the city lights took over, the evening settled into that distinctly Sydney rhythm– effortless, a little glamorous, and unmistakably summer. As the champagne towers flowed, the conversations lingered, the night carrying that easy sense of celebration that defines the season.

All in time for the show-stopping finale: a Moët & Chandon drone display over Sydney Harbour, lighting up the skyline for everyone within eyeshot. For a few suspended minutes, the harbour glittered, a visual toast to the season ahead.

To mark the occasion, Moët & Chandon also unveiled its limited-edition holiday bottles, dressed in bold red and pink – a festive nod to the joy of celebration. The new designs reimagine the house’s most recognisable cuvées, turning every bottle into a keepsake worthy of the occasion – the Impérial Brut in vibrant red and Impérial Rosé in a radiant pink. Whether it’s popped at a long lunch or saved for the stroke of midnight, it’s a festive refresh that looks just as good on the table as it tastes in the glass.
