Every week, Boss Hunting’s editors spend far too much time scouring the web: in search of the coolest gear, food & drink deals, and destinations worth trekking to across the globe.
In this week’s edition of Good Finds, we’ve got the very first BMW “M” series car, an innovation you didn’t know you needed from Audemars Piguet, HOKA’s latest collaboration with Dover Street Market, and plenty more.
1972 BMW 3.0 CSL Werks Development Car

Historically significant “firsts” in the automotive world are never easy to come by for car collectors – especially ones from the last half-century or so – and yet this week, we’ve found one.
The team at Dylan Miles are offering the very first M series car that BMW created, the 1972 BMW 3.0 CSL Werks Development Car, arriving in an eye-catching blue, orange, and cream livery, with provenance that confirms it as “the ‘holy grail’ of BMW motorcars.”

The listing highlights: “Without question one of the most significant BMWs of all time, E9/R1 is the original BMW ‘M’ car and the first CSL that was fitted and used to develop the iconic ‘Batmobile’ kit, the first of twenty-one Werks CSL and one of just eleven cars raced by the factory team, offered in exceptional condition with superb provenance and known ownership from new.”
Price is available on application.
Studio Douze Degrés Flare 40

We’ve been on a bit of a tear with lighting options in recent weeks of Good Finds, from the Rumee 220 Portable Lamp to the IKEA Stråla Lamp, but now we’ve got something a little different.
The Studio Douze Degrés Flare 40 takes mankind’s oldest and greatest innovation – the flame – and amplifies it with an expertly crafted optical lens to spectacular effect.
Audemars Piguet Perpetual Calendar Setting & Winding Box

If you’re well-heeled enough to own a Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar from Audemars Piguet, it’s unlikely that there’s much you’re lacking in life. However, one challenge that’s sure to emerge is the chore of keeping all of the calendar indications accurate. Fortunately, Audemars Piguet has a solution.
The Perpetual Calendar Setting and Winding Box (which was revealed in prototype at Dubai Watch Week recently) combines both computer vision (to read where the hands on the dial are) and an AI algorithm to instruct its set of electromechanical components to correctly set your watch. Simply place your watch within the 2kg box, close the lid, and the box will do the rest (over about five minutes).
Unfortunately, as the Perpetual Calendar Setting and Winding Box is only now entering production, it won’t yet be widely available (nor is pricing). Though if you’ve recently purchased a Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar from Audemars Piguet, we’ve no doubt you’ll be informed when it becomes available.

Summer is already here for most of Australia, but if you’re still in the market for some premium eyewear, this second District Vision x PAF collaboration has you covered.
Focused on the Junya Racer design, the line-up features three different colourways (Blue Gradient, Sports Blue, and Onyx Mirror) that all boast custom lens cuts and lightweight frames, basically guaranteeing that you’ll have the freshest eyewear at your local run/ride club.
HOKA DSM Exclusive Stinson One7

Dover Street Market remains indefatigable when it comes to the coolest sneaker drops, and this latest exclusive sees the HOKA Stinson One7 executed in a white hot (well, not literally) triple black colourway.
Arriving with the massively stacked midsole we all know and love, the uppers are constructed from translucent mono mesh, the heel clip is 3D-moulded TPU, and there’s also a speed lacing system that puts a cherry on top of this fresh debut.
They’ll almost certainly sell out fast. If you find a way to snag a pair, you’re guaranteed to be in good company.
