Australian cricket legend Ricky Ponting has levelled up his living situation after acquiring a spectacular Toorak mansion, which boasts a swimming pool, tennis court, and enough space for the Australian test cricket team.

As reported by The Herald Sun, Ponting has splashed out on a home in Melbourne’s priciest suburb that was listed with a price guide of $19.6 million to $21.5 million, purchasing the home via private treaty for $20.75 million.

The previous owner of 26A Linlithgow Road, Toorak, is understood to be Nicola Commins – a Business Consulting partner at Ernst & Young.

The sprawling mansion features six bedrooms and four bathrooms with four car spaces on the 1400-square-meter block, while the rear terrace of the residence cascades down onto the deck of a sparkling emerald pool. As is the case with many of Toorak’s finest properties, the man behind the gardens is none other than Paul Bangay (the previous owner of the Stonefields estate that Boss Hunting enjoyed for a special lunch last year) who partnered with the equally respected Nicholas Day and Stuart Rattle to create a truly remarkable and distinctly private home.

While Ponting already owns an expansive home in the blue-chip beachside suburb of Brighton and a more recently purchased weekender in Portsea, his latest acquisition in Toorak is by far the greatest of them yet. Represented by Mike Gibson of Forbes Global Properties, there’s little doubt Ponting will enjoy his new address at 26A Linlithgow Road, Toorak.
