This $24 Million Noosa Home Shows The Absolute State Of The Aussie Property Market

Anyone who reads the newspaper knows the housing market has been hot over the last few years, but this Noosa villa might take a prize as one of the fastest-appreciating properties in Australia. The property at 47 Mossman Court, Noosa Heads, has jumped nearly six times in price over the last half-decade, which even when taking into account the construction of an entirely new dwelling is an eye-watering figure.

According to publicly available records, the Noosa property was sold in late 2017 for $4.2 million (after last being traded in 2008 for $4 million) before the original weatherboard home was demolished and replaced by a Paul Clout-designed luxury villa with 572sqm of living space. The home was then purchased in 2020 by Hancock Prospecting executive Dan Wade for $10.9 million, who is understood to have used it as his holiday home for just over two years, before he listed the property for sale in December 2022 for $23.9 million.

The deep-pocketed new owner is Sydney socialite Jaclyn Gazal who purchased the property, after just 12 days on the market. While its courtyard pool and 20m strip of private white-sand riverfront are features anyone would love to wake up to in the morning, the skyrocketing value of 47 Mossman Court, Noosa Heads, far outstrips the already white-hot Noosa property market that has already seen the median house price jump 310% since 2015.
