- Lowes CEO Linda Penn has turned a $3 million Whale Beach home into a $30 million estate
- The French Provincial mansion features a private oceanfront golf course plus standard billionaire amenities like an infinity pool, wine cellar, and spa โ across three levels.
- The $30 million listing is pocket change for the Penns who own a $44 million Point Piper villa and a palace near Monaco.
In 2012, Lowes CEO Linda Penn and husband David acquired their Whale Beach trophy home for $3.075 million. After an extensive multi-year overhaul at the hands of acclaimed architect Michael Suttor, interior designer Deanne Rooz, as well as heavyweight landscapers Richard Unsworth and Paul Bangay, itโs now listed with a guide of $30 million, per the Australian Financial Review.
Dubbed Lodge Dauphin, this cascading tri-level โholiday playgroundโ is sprawled across an enviable 2,150-square-metre parcel of land, and has been constructed with over 1,000 tonnes of honey-coloured sandstone and slate.

Boasting French Provincial-inspired interiors of European Oak floors, marble, brass, and a cathedral-like ceiling, the main residence also notably features five bedrooms and five bathrooms (mostly located on the middle floor โ including the master suite with a freestanding tub), and a gorgeously moody kitchen fitted out with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances.
On this site, youโll also find the almost obligatory millionaire amenities like a wet bar, wine cellar, spa, sauna, and wellness centre (all of which are nestled in the lowest level), along with a heated infinity pool.

But the true headliner, in our opinion, is the private oceanfront golf course that looks as though it was lifted directly from a country club โ this has been complemented by an exceptionally manicured tiered garden containing some 200 LED copper lights.
Remarkably enough, an estate like Lodge Dauphin โ located at 143-145 Whale Beach Road, Whale Beach, NSW 2107 โ appears to be nothing more than business as usual for the Penns.

The familyโs prestige portfolio also includes a five-storey harbourfront residence known as Villa Veneto in Point Piper (which they bought for $44 million circa 2017), and a โfamily palaceโ at Cap dโAil near Monaco currently under renovation. Linda and Davidโs son Joshua Penn also recently offloaded his own Point Piper abode for $24.5 million.
Should Lodge Dauphin sell for its $30 million guide, itโll more than double Whale Beachโs standing suburb record โ check it out for yourself above and below.
