  • Pricing has finally been revealed for Kia’s all-new 2025 Tasman ute, which ranges from $42,990 to nearly $80,000 drive-away.
  • Powered by a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine across all models, other key features include twin 12.3-inch screens, heated rear seats, a sunroof, and more.
  • The 2025 Kia Tasman is now available to order, arriving in showrooms around July 2025.

After officially pulling the covers off late last year, pricing has been revealed for the 2025 Kia Tasman, which is positioned to go head-to-head with hugely popular heavyweights like the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux.

Currently available to order ahead of its July showroom arrival, the Tasman is launching with several different dual-cab models, starting from $42,990 before on-road costs, and topping out at $74,990 for the off-road-focused X-Pro variant. When you factor in drive-away pricing, the Tasman will creep close to the $80,000 benchmark – quite an eyebrow-raising price tag for a brand long-known for value-led offerings.

Under the bonnet, every Tasman variant houses a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine capable of generating 154kW and 440Nm; and mated to an eight-speed automatic and available in either two or four-wheel drive. Braked towing capacity stands at a healthy 3,500kg across the board, while payloads vary from 1,013kg to 1,124kg depending on spec.

Despite being a touch less powerful than a Ranger V6 or HiLux GR Sport, the Tasman fights back with its creature comforts: twin 12.3-inch screens, heated rear seats, adaptive cruise control, and even dual wireless phone chargers in higher-spec models. Sliding and reclining rear seats – a ute segment first – are another nice touch.

The range splits across S, SX, SX+, X-Line and X-Pro trims, with mid-spec models like the SX+ ($62,390) and X-Line ($67,990) positioned firmly against the Ranger Sport and Wildtrak. Kia has also made room for novated lease buyers, offering a no-cost option to lower payload ratings below 1,000kg; while those chasing a bit more optionality can look forward to single-cab and cab-chassis variants rolling off the production line later this year.

With ambitious pricing, a thoughtful feature set, and the tough guy looks to match, Kia isn’t treating the Tasman like any other ute release. It’s playing to win.

The 2025 Kia Tasman pricing for Australia is as follows:

  • Tasman S 4×2 dual-cab pick-up: $42,990
  • Tasman S 4×4 dual-cab pick-up: $49,990
  • Tasman SX 4×4 dual-cab pick-up: $54,490
  • Tasman SX+ 4×4 dual-cab pick-up: $62,390
  • Tasman X-Line 4×4 dual-cab pick-up: $67,990
  • Tasman X-Pro 4×4 dual-cab pick-up: $74,990
