At the beginning of 2023, Porsche confirmed the launch of the 911 Dakar, the go-anywhere, do-anything two-door with borrowed parts from the GT3 and the Turbo S… and the price to match.

With 3.2 inches more ground clearance than the standard Porsche 911 Carrera, the 911 Dakar promises heritage-inspired off-road capabilities. Essentially a Carrera 4 GTS coupe modified for rally duty, the 911 Dakar is equipped with the brand’s 353kW twin-turbo flat-six and all-wheel drive, with Pirelli Scorpion All-Terrain Plus rubber.

With just 2,500 produced worldwide, many fans missed the opportunity to purchase, which makes this example on Bring A Trailer so exciting, setting the aftermarket expectations. Unlike the car Manny Koshbin picked up recently, example 1,191 has not been optioned with the US$28,470 Rallye Design Package option, thus may not fetch as much as the flipper hopes. However, it’s a stunning, like-new 2023 vehicle with just 63 miles on the clock.

Yes Bring A Trailer is American, but that doesn’t mean you can’t ogle and dream. With the winning bid sitting at US$260,260 (~AU$354,464) at the time of publishing the 911 Dakar in question is edging closer to the top-spec’d Rallye Design version, which originally retailed for US$270,200.

For reference, Australia reportedly received some allocation, priced from $491,400 plus on-road costs. Check it out below.
