Lexus’ Surprising New Model Is Actually A Luxury Yacht

It’s not the next LFA. It’s not the LF – 1 Limitless teased at the Detroit Auto Show back in January. It’s a yacht.

Sorry, what? That’s right, we’re just as surprised as you are. It’s called the LY 650 Luxury Yacht and it’s dropped following a few days of social media teasing from the Japanese luxury automotive brand.

Lexus Takumi specialists, who we’re well and truly familiar with, have commissioned the manufacture, sales, and service of the LY 650 to renowned Marquis-Larson Boat Group of Pulaski, Wisconsin. Measuring 65 feet in length and 19 feet across, the vessel houses “three lavish staterooms, and several multi-purpose entertainment and lounge areas.”

It’s rumoured to source power from either Volvo IPS 1200 or Volvo IPS 1350 marine engines, as reported by Autoblog, yet no official word on powertrains has been officially confirmed.
