Buckle up for a brand-new season of our Facebook Watch & IGTV โLunch Runโ series, where we talk cars, food, and a healthy serving of smack.
A cult classic arrives in the BH garage this week โ the latest incarnation of the Z lineup from Nissan. A complete relaunch of its predecessor, the Nissan 370Z, these new wheels come in a sharper package that starts at $73,300. It screams grin-inducing boy racer, but can it deliver?
Aesthetically, we can confirm itโs infinitely better looking in the flesh. The rear third in particular โ with its neon retro-style brake lights โ is where the party is at, which also houses a surprisingly large boot space. The interior display is incredibly crisp, as is Apple Carplay, although the latter isnโt wireless, which is a big hurdle to look past in 2022. A special mention must go out to the pearlessence of the white paint on our model; a premium touch that was a joy to watch glisten in the peppered sunlight of the backstreets of Elizabeth Bay.
This week, John and James parked up for a waterside lunch with some goodies collected from Pina in Potts Point, which they ordered ahead of time using Uber Eatโs pickup function. James played it safe with a loaded chicken sandwich topped with pickled carrot and cucumber โ though it was the rollโs chilli oil that became the standout star, giving it a scrumptious texture that just made you want to go back for another one. John, on the other hand, went large in price but modest in size. His wagyu pastrami roll would have been quite delicious if there was more of it.
