  • Independent watchmaker Richard Mille has collaborated with Brough Superior to create the RMB01 motorcycle.
  • With a frame crafted from titanium and carbon fibre, the 997cc twin-cylinder aluminium engine is capable of 97kW of track-ready power.
  • The Richard Mille x Brough Superior RMB01 motorcycle will be a limited edition of just 150 units, with no confirmed pricing currently.

Richard Mille and Brough Superior have unveiled the RMB01 – a showcase of what’s possible when performance-focused engineering from the watchmaking and automotive industries unite in an entirely new way.

For those yet to come across the name Brough Superior, it was founded by George Brough back in 1919 and was celebrated as the “Rolls-Royce of Motorcycles” until the Second World War halted production. The name remained dormant until it was revived in 2013 by Thierry Henriette and Albert Castaigne, returning to serial production soon after in 2016.

Brough Superior has previously collaborated with Aston Martin on a motorcycle, but this partnership with Richard Mille marks the first time it’s worked with a watchmaker. A fitting partnership, given the ultra-premium market segment that both brands operate in; as well as the shared philosophy of ground-breaking material innovation, technical sophistication, and their relentless pursuit of performance.

At the heart of the RMB01 is a sculpted 997cc twin-cylinder engine, which has been machined from solid aluminium and is capable of 97kW (130bhp). There’s plenty of aerodynamic testing that’s gone into ensuring all that power translates into stable speed, and the architecture of the motorcycle is also littered with nods to Richard Mille’s design motifs: skeletonised elements of the frame and materials such as aluminium alloy, Grade-5 titanium, plus forged carbon composite.

Every angle of the RMB01 has been painstakingly finished, while the ergonomics have also been thoughtfully considered – including bespoke handlebars, adjustable rearsets, and a race-inspired seat that combines comfort with control. Limited to 150 examples, prospective owners of the RMB01 will have the option of three different colour schemes (pearl-white, anthracite grey, or nocturnal sapphire blue).

Originally unveiled last week at Le Mans Classic, the remarkable new motorcycle will also be on display for Aussie enthusiasts at the upcoming Noosa Concours d’Elegance on July 19th, 2025.
