It costs millions to run and race an actual Formula 1 team, but if youโre after the experience of racing with a relatively-paltry six-figure budget, then these Red Bull RB18 racing simulators are your best bet.
In a collaboration between the Red Bull Racing team and sports memorabilia specialist Memento Exclusives, the two have repurposed a couple of ex-show cars from the 2022 season and turned them into state-of-the-art racing simulators, arriving complete with a front wing and nose cone, airbox, and halo.
The RB18 was one of the most successful F1 cars in recent decades, winning a remarkable 17 Grand Prix races in the 2022 season out of the 23 that were held and was designed by the Chief Technology Officer at Red Bull Racing, the legendary Adrian Newey.
โWe are delighted to have co-created a unique sim racing experience that puts drivers in the cockpit of the championship-winning RB18,โ said Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner in a statement.
โDriving a Formula 1 car is something most of us can only dream of, but this simulator is as close as it gets to the real thing. Memento Exclusives have recreated the car to bring the track into your home.โ
The Red Bull RB18 racing simulator will be available in two editions either as โThe Champion Editionโ in the colours of Max Verstappen or โThe Race Editionโ with the livery of Sergio Perez โ respective prices hovering at ยฃ99,999 (AU$182,049) and ยฃ74,999 (AU$136,450).
The simulators come up for sale following an actual Official Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake C43 Launch Car used in the teamโs 2023 livery presentation that was sold at auction last month.
