If Matthew McConaughey ain’t Texas embodied, well…I’ll eat my chewing tobacco.

Last weekend, McConaughey’s alma mater the Texas Longhorns (University of Texas at Austin) were playing their arch rivals the Fighting Irish (University of Notre Dame) and the big fella decided his team needed a bit of a pep talk. We only get to see a bit of the speech below, but needless to say it did the trick, with his boys getting up in a 50-47 double overtime thriller in front of 102,315; the largest football crowd in Longhorns football history.

Whether or not it was as good as We Are Marshall speech remains to be seen, but here’s hoping this becomes a regular thing. Keep on L-I-V-I-N McConaughey.
