One of the world’s biggest sporting events is almost upon us for another year, with Super Bowl LX just around the corner. From the legendary advertising slots (check out the best ads from 2025 here) to the reliably showstopping halftime show, the 2026 edition promises to be as exciting as ever (even if you’re watching from Australia).
The teams for 2026 have been confirmed as the Seattle Seahawks (winners of the National Football Conference) and the New England Patriots (American Football Conference winners). It marks the 12th time the Patriots have played in a Super Bowl, while it’s just the 4th appearance for the Seahawks and the first time since 2014, when they also played the Patriots to an unconvincing result.
Despite that 2014 result, the Patriots are heading into the 2026 edition as underdogs for the first time since 2002. The good news for Patriots fans is that they’ve beaten the odds before, but the bad news is they’re arriving with a team that’s struggled in its last three games, scoring just 54 points (a new record for a team heading into a Super Bowl).

If you’re thinking about where you’re going to watch the big game, here’s what you need to know about catching Super Bowl LX in Australia.
What time does Super Bowl LX start in Australia?
Super Bowl LX will kick off on February 8 at 3:40 PM Pacific Time, which translates to Monday, February 9 at 10:40 AM AEDT. In previous years, the pre-match broadcast began about an hour before the game.
This year, the game will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, with Bad Bunny to return as the headline act of the Super Bowl LX halftime show. This marks a return to the Super Bowl for Bad Bunny, who first appeared as a guest during the Shakira and Jennifer Lopez set back in 2020.
As far as pre-game entertainment, Charlie Puth, Brandi Carlile, and Coco Jones are among the confirmed acts, with more to come. Additionally, thanks to it being the 60th anniversary of the Super Bowl in 2026, the event will feature an opening ceremony where Green Day will perform.
