Canada Goose Brings Its New Luxury Store Concept to Chatswood Chase

The king of winter has something for your summer plans too.

Following a $625 million redevelopment, you'd be hard-pressed to find a luxury retail destination with more local buzz right now than Chatswood Chase.

The sprawling North Shore centre unveiled its dedicated luxury floor earlier this year, turning the opportunity to peruse the world’s biggest brands into a polished new retail experience. And its latest arrival might just be the perfect sleeper pick with summer on the horizon.

Canada Goose’s natural habitat may have long been the sheer rock face of a protruding mountain, or somewhere far less forgiving than the temperate climes of the Bondi promenade. But for several years now, the Toronto-based label has expanded beyond the down-filled parkas and puffers that made it a household name, building a range of relaxed, premium pieces suited to Sydney’s transitional weather.

A morning might call for a fitted tee in high-quality cotton. By evening, the chill rolls in, and something, shall we say, a little more insulated earns its place.

The new Chatswood Chase store carries the full offering across menswear, womenswear, and kidswear, plus footwear and eyewear, including the brand’s latest Fall/Winter 2026 collection from Creative Director Haider Ackermann. It sits under Second Nature, the latest chapter of the brand's Natural Intelligence platform – the inevitable pull to explore, or taking the long way home.

The fleece range is better suited to the months ahead, however, with brushed pullovers, colour-blocked half and quarter zips, and full-zip jackets made for easy layering. Chatswood Chase is also the exclusive launch point for the Loma Half Zip and Loma Fleece Jacket.

Joining Westfield Sydney and Melbourne's Chadstone, Canada Goose’s Chatswood Chase store is the third in Australia and debuts the brand’s 2.0 Luxury Retail Concept built around what Norwegian architecture and design studio Snøhetta calls “boundless”.

If you’re not familiar with the group’s work, you may have already seen its buildings: Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, Oslo, Shanghai’s Grand Opera House, or Brisbane’s Glasshouse Theatre. For Canada Goose, Snøhetta has taken many of its hallmarks to create a retail concept that shares a common design language across stores in Paris, Milan, Chicago, and Vancouver, while allowing each location to take its own cues from its surroundings.

At Chatswood Chase, limestone, terrazzo, and Australian timber bring local touches to the new 254-square-metre retail space that feels firmly at home in Sydney. A place to shop, sure. But somewhere to slow down and discover the brand through architecture, art, and heritage.

Walking through the new space, Canada Goose invites you to immerse yourself in Snøhetta's subtle details throughout: legacy walls, styled as cartographic charts, a nod to the brand's history of exploration; a hillside relief that traces the ridges and valleys of the Canadian landscape, set against local materials that link the Canadian wilderness with the North Shore.

Work from Inuit artists Joanasie Manning and Ningiukulu Teevee fills the room with Northern storytelling, including a serpentine stone sculpture of the famous Canadian Snowy Owl, which incorporates local materials like black marble and caribou antler into the piece’s details; and Teevee’s Your Story, a contemporary painting that draws on Inuit legend with a playful sense of humour.
