UNIQLO : C has always been the technical heavyweight for the Japanese brand’s multiple lines. Designed by Claire Waight Keller with deft attention to detail, each collection guarantees lightweight, hard-wearing fabrics, cross-material breathability that naturally layers, and a no-brainer palette.
This is no more evident than in the new Autumn/Winter 2026 collection – dedicated to high-performing versatile garments for cooler climates. Having kept some of the UNIQLO cult classics (like the sold-out-in-milliseconds sweat straight pants), Waight Keller has presented a stylish collection to calmly glide through the frenetic streets of a wintery Shibuya, as much as kick back at home.
The newest evolution of the line comes from the PUFFTECH fabric – a lightweight insulation material between layers of crisp fabric. It’s essentially a synthetic alternative to traditional down filling. Above, John wears the PUFFTECH Half Coat, a toasty outer layer to protect against the January cold. Paired with the cotton barrel pants, it’s an easy fit that’s elevated but not stuffy. It’s also topped up with the new crewneck sweatshirt – a clean-cut expansion on the hero hoodie and track pant pieces from previous seasons.
Titled Modernity in Motion, the 2025 Fall/Winter drop continues Waight Keller’s ongoing thesis: the best wardrobes blur the line between formal and functional. It’s a simple formula: elevated staples built with performance fabrics. Case in point: the new unisex Bomber jackets, which Josh wears above paired with the with the ever-popular broadcloth shirt and barrel pants. The technical choice of fabric, combined with the classic cuts of the pieces, makes them transitional between different environments, inside and out.
For something more dressed up, they’ve released a knitted jacket, a smooth-moving top layer that doesn’t sacrifice any heat loss. Somewhere between a harrington and a cardigan, the knitted jacket features milled wool-blend fabric with a soft yet moderately crisp feel, a zip closure and pockets. Josh wears that above with some denim pleated straight pants and an AIRism tee.
For men, the big technical flex is Cashmere HEATTECH, now arriving in both crewneck and turtleneck. It’s classic UNIQLO engineering: serious warmth at an almost implausible thinness. The palette leans into future-proof jewel tones: forest green, navy, burgundy, and sand.
Outerwear is where the collection sharpens its edge. Apart from the PUFFTECH pieces (offering down-level heat retention without the bulk), the BLOCKTECH coats deliver waterproof, windproof protection. Again, those are designed with layering in mind, and cocoon any PUFFTECH or HEATTECH undergarments seamlessly.
What makes UNIQLO : C work is its discipline. Waight Keller steers clear of gimmicks, opting for well-designed building blocks that slot straight into your rotation. Shibuya cool, minus the airfare.
